MUSTAPHA | ALEXANDRIA" violet oval cachet: RNACD was extension of Royal Navy's "Armoured Car Section" of boilerplated vehicles, being UK's only mechanized land forces - this absorbed by the Army in Summer 1915 & incorporated into the Motor Branch of the Machine Gun Corps. This force in Egypt numbered about 30 men. Opened roughly at back, complete except top left corner tip; vert. fold. Rare unit mail.
