False/Censer Shekel struck in light metal, c. late 19th Cent.; w/leg. read right to left "Shekel Yisrael | HaKdusha Yerushalayim" size: 34.5mm; weight: 13.45g; medallic alignment. Similar to Kisch Type-B8 but w/variations; almost identical to type produced in England by Spencer of London - but that in white brass (35mm/13g); here w/o maker mark under chalice. Inspired by Renaissance imitations called "Gorlitz Shekels".
