Printed in 10,000 copies. Softback of stitched fibre & thin pages. "Signed" by Leo Jung, Fitzwilliam Hall Cambridge 1918 + handwritten Hebrew thought on inside back-page: Rabbi Jung (1892-1987) was one of the major architects of American Orthodox Judaism, received secular & Talmudic education + attended Cambridge Univ.; father was R. Dr. Meir Tzvi Jung, proponent of R. Samson Raphael Hirsch's philosophy of "Torah im Derekh Eretz"; received Rabbinic ordinations ("semikhah"), from R. Mordechai Zevi Schwartz, R. Abraham Isaac Kook & R. David Zvi Hoffmann.

Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky/Tucazinsky (zt"l) signature on Etz Haim Yeshiva check for 10 Lira (Pounds), 1941, and tied by Mandate 10m revenue stamp. Rav Tukachinsky (1872-1955) was the Rosh Yeshiva 'Etz Hayim'; married to a great-granddaughter of Rabbi Shmuel Salant (Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem) & a pupil of his; helped found the "Vaad Leumi" of the Yishuv & wrote the "Luach Eretz Israel" calendar with halachot per 'Minhag Yerushalyim'; a supporter of Rav Kook.

Russian-German registered handstamp and dotted "R" overseas mail registered mark; backstamped next day dispatch, unclear ODESSA transit; 21 JUNE 00 CONSTANTINOPLE transit & 24 JUNE dispatch; 2 JUL 1900 JAFFA transit (violet postmark Ba 614). Mandate postal markings: 7 DE 1934 stampless local JERUSALEM OHMS cover from Criminal Investigation Department to Chief Rabbi Yaakov Meir, tied by Sacher unlisted dated red circular CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT | HQ | PALESTINE POLICE cachet + "certified official" instructional marking handstamp & strike of local postmark; unsealed. Rabbi Meir (1856–1939) was the first Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Palestine, from 1921, with the establishment of the Chief Rabbinate of Palestine, and assumed the title of "Rishon le-Zion" as has since become custom; Meir studied Talmud under Rabbi Menachem Bechor Yitzhak and Kabbalah under Rabbi Aharon Azriel.
