1948 interim mail/Nahariya slogans: 1ST SLOGAN PROOF printed on light blue-green Gestetner watermarked paper, size: 19.8 x 14.6cm. This is Type B of the 1st slogan, designed by Shlomo Shoshani, and used later on 22 March as a replacement for Type A for design problems including the incorrect date. The 1st slogan was only used for 1 day (22 March 1948). Only about 14 covers are known marked by either type of the 1st slogan; here as a Proof very rare & depicts the postmark at an early stage of use. Estimated value $8,000-10,000++ (Bale values marked covers at $8500).
