Mandate postal markings: 28 JU 1943 stampless local Public Information Office stationary invitation JERUSALEM to civilian, tied by Sacher unlisted trilingual GOVERNMENT OF PALESTINE | PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICE boxed cachet (52x32mm) & local postmark; unsealed. The PIO served a censory role over the preparation & dissemination of news in the Mandate, including the Palestine Broadcasting Service; it existed also after WWII. It's Hebrew name translates to "Press Office".
