First day 21.9.49 strike of 2nd Israeli JERUSALEM machine-cancel (Nach-289/22; EG-76) tied to printed matter cover to ROSH PINA franked 5Pr using 1949 IDF Insignia (Ba18) on its 2nd day of use; unsealed at back per printed-matter regulations. The successor to the rare machine-cancel of 21-02-1949 (see above), this version with Arabic in 2 words; in use until Aug. 1951 (per Nachtigal) and seldomly encountered.
