British WWI military mail in Egypt: 11 FEB 1916 stampless OAS civilian stationary cover from APO SZ 4 (possibly ISMAILIA) to BOSTON (UK), tied by strike of Proud-D4 postmark 1 year before his earliest known date of use, during period undocumented by Proud & Firebrace (per Proud, Ismalia activities began 15 Feb, per Firebrace on 23rd); not officer-endorsed but passed censor (#3008 - listed in Daniel for SZ4 in this period); opened roughly at back, complete + 3 small holes at front. A discovery piece.
