Description
Doar Ivri PO's, rates & routes: 28-6-1948 commercial registered cover from HAIFA to KEFAR SAVA franked 25m at the DO-1 postage period rate (10m letter + 15m registration) using perforation mix of 25m (Ba5) + miscut rouletted 5m (Ba2c) tied by single strike of HAIFA-1 postmark + 2 on back, and marked by Mandate registry-label Sacher-R1b; backstamped next day transit at TEL AVIV Head Post Office & 30 JU 48 arrival using reintroduced Mandate postmark (D4/Dorf-4) on last day of use before being replaced by the Israeli trilingual postmark; slit open at top, very fine.
