1956 taxed mail to Austria: 11-1-1956 airmail cover from BINYAMINA to Israeli Consulate in VIENNA, franked 1.20L instead of 1.50L at the FA-6 period rate, which entered use on 8 Jan (perhaps the sender erroniously applied franking for the 1.20L airletter rate), using vertical pair 60ag 1955 Tribes (Ba123) tied by single strike of BINYAMINA-2 postmark; taxed 85g on arrival, paid 17-1-56 & marked by manuscript notations; slit open at top. The cover should have qualified for the 2 week grace period but this wasn't honored.
