1948 rare MESHEK EIN HAROD interim postmark on franked cover to PETACH TIKVA

Very fine strike of the rare Meshek Ein Harod interim postmark tied to 3m interim frank on cover bearing the personal/address stamp of Werner Eichwald, the deputy postmaster of Petach Tikva. Philatelically inspired: it may have been sent through the postal system to Eichwald, similar to other such covers addressed to himself, or possibly a cancelled-to-order cover (not sent through the post) though the application of the personal/address stamp on the front seems unnecessary for this. The postage is for the printed matter rate: the cover is presently sealed though probably posted unsealed per printed matter regulations (and Eichwald himself knew the postal procedures).
