1949 2nd postage rate period tabbed taxed mail: 27-4-1949 commercial cover from RAMAT GAN (return addressed Voice of Israel radio station in the Kirya government complex in TEL AVIV) to REHOVOT, underfranked at 10 Pr (Ba #3) instead of 15Pr, and taxed 10Pr (twice the deficiency) but unusually without any tax markings, paid using tabbed 10pr Ba #PD3 frank tied by 28-4-1949 REHOVOT postmark; opened gently at back, peripheral tear to left flap tip; very fine.
