WWII/Holocaust era camps > Mauthausen: 6-6-1942 MAUTHAUSEN stationary envelope Jewish(?) family correspondence from inmate Hebronow in MAUTHAUSEN Austria to female addressee Hebronova in LANDSHUT in "Protectorat" of Moravia, franked 12pf (torn) using German Hindenberg medallion definitive stamp (as Austria annexed by Germany in 1938) per period rate & tied by camp's double ring date-stamp + 2-line censor cachet. Of note: the reference to "Gusen" in the stationary's title has been obliterated, suggesting the sender was held at the Mauthausen main camp and not in one of the Gusen sub-camps. Cut open at right.
