Australian WWI military mail in Egypt: 28 JY 1917 stampless OAS civilian stationary cover from Australian General Hospital #14 (ABBASSIA) via local FPO F2 to Anglo-Palestine Bank ALEXANDRIA, tied by Proud-D2 postmark & same-dated "AGH|No. 14" violet oval cachet (FB-CA47); endored by officer & passed censor (unclear 32-- series triangular cachet) ; backstamped next day ALEXANDRIA arrival; slit open top & right, back-flap tips missing. Unclear FPO postmark identified as F2 borne out by FB p.179.
