British WWI military mail in Palestine: 23 AP 1917 stampless green honour envelope (no printers mark) from FPO 163 (163rd Norfolk and Suffolk Brigade of 54th East Anglian Division, GAZA area) to NORWICH, tied by double-ring date-stamp Proud-D2. Posted 4 days after unit's involvement in failed 2nd Battle of Gaza (17-19 April). Opened gently at back.
