WWII/Holocaust era camps > Reckman-Strobitz: 26-12-1944 postal card with numbered Christmas-period correspondence (#65 on reverse) dated from 23 Dec., in Polish, from woman in KRAKAU (Krakow) to a male at ARBEITS LAGER R. [Richard] RECKMAN (labor camp) in STROBITZ Germany, franked 12pf using a Generalgouvernement stamp & tied by local machine cancel + the labor camp's carmine censor handstamp. Very little information is available about this camp, other than it was run by the Richard Reckman Eisenbahnbau-Bahnbedarf-Tiefbau Cottbus railway and civil engineering company of Cottbus, and located in the quarter of Strobitz.
