Mandate Jerusalem Postmarks: 20 FEB 19471 misdated JERUSALEM date head machine cancel (Sach-F5) tied to stampless OHMS stationary cover from Department of Labour to business in JAFFA, tied by 2 strikes of Sach-50a (but no known dates of use recorded!) boxed GOVERNMENT OF PALESTINE | DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR | JERUSALEM cachet (front/back); backstamped next day arrival (GD-16, a month after its last known date of use); torn open at right, top right corner missing. Sacher notes that on 20 Feb this machine cancel displayed inverted date (one of only 4 instances known in 13 years of machine's usage): here corrected, but displaying extra line at date's end - as illustrated p.81 for 10 April 1947. Rare.
